Truck Driver

You’ll transport goods across western Canada (primarily in Alberta, as well as BC, Saskatchewan and Manitoba), using GPS tools.

You’ll operate and drive a tractor-trailer weighing up to 63,500kg.

Your trips will require you to be away for up to one week at a time.

You’ll need to be physically able to chain freight down, install tire chains and throw straps, and assist in yards in all types of weather.

Safety will always be your number one priority – you’ll make sure your loads are secured properly, and that you follow safe loading and unloading procedures. And if you need any safety training, we’ve got you covered.

As an experienced truck driver, you already know the basics. Your skills in problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and all things technical will set you up to succeed here. You take pride in your work, so you’ll fit right in.

Working @ Frontier Transport

This is a full-time permanent position, where you’ll work between 40-50 hours per week, typically Monday-Friday. You’ll also have the option to work weekends.

Our head office is based in Thorsby, and we have another yard in Calgary.

Your schedule will need to be flexible, depending on your loads. Often, you’ll need to do early starts (between 4 am-6am).

Qualifications

• Active class 1 driver’s license with less than 3 demerits
• Flat deck experience is a major asset
• Manual handing experience and ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly
• Experience using GPS and electronic logging devices
